This your session so speak up.

Why is this important? If you want anything changed: pressure, areas worked, position, if anything is uncomfortable, too hot or too cold. Speak up.

I want you to have an excellent massage experience; helpful, relaxing and enjoyable.

What to expect during your first massage therapy visit?

Every client is required to wear a mask at all times while in my studio. Your will be asked to fill out covid questionnaire and a health history form.It is important list all health concerns, medications, and allergies so I can adapt the massage to your specific needs. Then we will have a short conversation on why you are here, your goals and concerns. I'll explain how we will proceed. If you are not feeling well we will reschedule your massage.

Do I have to completely undress?

In privacy you will undress to your comfort level. All clients will be draped for warmth and modesty during the entire session.

What do I do during the massage treatment?

Just make yourself comfortable.  Many people close their eyes and relax completely during the session; others prefer to talk. It's up to you. This is your massage, and what ever feels natural to you is the best way to relax and enjoy. Do not hesitate to ask questions at any time.

How long is each session?

Sessions usually last 60 or 90 minutes,  A 30 minute appointment allows time for a partial massage session, such as neck, shoulders and back. This is hands on time. Most people find a 60 or 90 minute session best for deep relaxation. You will be given time to slowly get up and dress. We will speak after the session. This is a good time to give feedback, ask any questions and drink some water. We can then schedule your next session if you like.

Will the massage hurt?

Massage should not be painful. That being said there is a "feels good" hurt. If at any time the massage feels painful or too much pressue is used speak up and I will adjust the pressure. Everyone is different, some folks like light pressure, others like deep pressure. You will never feel beaten up after a massage from me.
